DishDroid
How to Play

Every dish is a mission

Collect ingredients, prepare them, control heat, operate machines, assemble meals and serve the finished dish before the kitchen loses control. DishDroid is designed around skill rather than passive interaction.

§4 · The mission spine

Six steps, every single order

They never change. What changes is how many of them you are holding at once.

  1. 01

    Read the order

Every mission begins with an incoming order. The kitchen system displays the required dish. DishDroid must understand what needs to be prepared and begin working immediately.

  2. 02

    Collect ingredients

Ingredients are collected from refrigerators, dispensers, storage units and moving conveyor systems.

  3. 03

    Prepare

Vegetables may need chopping. Meat may require seasoning. Sauces may need mixing. Dough may need processing. Ingredients may require different tools before they can enter the cooking stage.

  4. 04

    Control the heat

Food can be grilled, fried, boiled, steamed, baked or prepared through specialised futuristic equipment. Certain recipes require changing temperature several times.

  5. 05

    Assemble & plate

Components must be combined correctly. The plate must be completed. The meal must reach the serving station.

  6. 06

    Get evaluated

Then the kitchen evaluates the result. A mission may be completed with an ordinary result. A perfect kitchen run requires mastery.

§6 · Kitchen rhythm

Cooking becomes a sequence.
The sequence becomes memory.

Memory becomes speed. Speed becomes mastery. The player stops thinking about individual buttons and starts thinking about the entire kitchen.

Beat 01 / 07

Prepare

Chop, season, mix, process.

“A successful DishDroid run should eventually feel almost continuous.”

§5 · The loop, step by step

What you actually do with your hands

The same walkthrough the game shows you in its own How to Play panel — one source, so the page you read before playing matches the panel you open while playing.

  1. 01

Read the ticket. It lists every component, the prep it needs and how it must be cooked.

  2. 02

Collect from the dispensers along the back wall. One item in your hands at a time.

  3. 03

Prep first: chop on a cutting station, mix in a bowl. Hold F until the step completes.

  4. 04

Cook it: pot boils, pan sears, vat fries, quantum grill fuses. Each has an ideal heat band.

  5. 05

Keep the white marker inside the lit band — that is your Cooking Precision score.

  6. 06

Pull food off as soon as it reads READY. Leave it on and it burns, and the kitchen sees smoke.

  7. 07

Carry every finished component to a plating counter, then take the plate to the pass window.

  8. 08

A dish is rated on accuracy, precision, service time, kitchen efficiency and presentation.

§7 · Heat system

Heat is a core mechanic

Different ingredients respond differently to temperature. Some need slow controlled cooking. Others need intense heat for only a short period. Certain recipes require changing temperature several times during preparation.

The kitchen talks without numbers

Food provides visual feedback and the kitchen communicates with the player without requiring constant numerical information. Advanced players gradually learn to read these signals naturally.

  • 01

    Colour changes

The surface tells you before the timer would.

  • 02

    Steam appears

Moisture leaving means the window is opening.

  • 03

    Smoke increases

You are late. The dish is still salvageable.

  • 04

    Texture changes

Structure is the last readable stage.

  • 05

    Machines change pitch

Equipment reports its own state by sound.

§17 · Mission structure

Five kitchens, one culinary program

From the forgiving Calibration Kitchen to the Master Kitchen's final examination — 5 environments that each add one new kind of pressure.

§17 · Mission structure

01Learning

Calibration Kitchen

DishDroid wakes inside the culinary testing facility. Movement, ingredient selection, preparation, heat control and plating.

Recipes are simple. The kitchen is forgiving. The purpose is learning.

Orders become faster. More ingredients enter the system. Several steps must now happen simultaneously.

The player begins developing rhythm.

05Examination

Master Kitchen

Multiple orders. Multiple stations. Complex recipes. Minimal assistance. Strict timing.

Everything learned during the campaign returns here.

§8 · Dish Archive

Your culinary history

Every completed recipe is recorded. A recipe is not simply marked completed — it remembers how well you performed. One player may finish a dish. Another may master it. The difference is visible.

§19 · Character identity

Small robot, large world

A compact mechanical body, digital expressive eyes, a chef hat integrated into the chassis. Hands transform per task — knife, spatula, extension arm, heat shielding. DishDroid can celebrate, panic, get confused, be proud.

§20 · Upgrades

Cosmetics that mean something

Shells, hats, expressions, tools, aprons, cooking effects. Master every grill recipe and unlock a grill-related upgrade. The character becomes a visual history of the player's journey.

§29 · Future game modes

After the campaign

The main program is one path through DishDroid. These are the modes designed to keep the kitchen busy afterwards.

  • Rush Kitchen

Orders continue arriving until the kitchen overwhelms DishDroid.

  • Recipe Challenge

Every player receives the same recipe and attempts the strongest performance.

  • Mystery Dish

Ingredients arrive before the recipe is revealed. Work out what you are cooking.

  • Boss Kitchen

One enormous recipe becomes an entire level across several stations.

  • Daily Dish

A rotating recipe gives the community one shared challenge.

  • Cooperative Kitchen

Several DishDroids work inside the same kitchen and divide responsibilities.

  • Muse Challenge

A challenge originating from the DishDroid Muse becomes playable inside the game.

  • Community Kitchen

The entire DishDroid community works toward a shared culinary objective.
